As part of the statewide “Spring Into Nature” open days Trust for Nature are running a tour of the Dockers Plains Pastoral Company’s Landscape Covenant on the Lower Ovens River.
The largest covenant in Victoria, the extensive area fronting the heritage Ovens River has over 60 wetlands, and extensive River Red Gum forest.
This year’s rainfall has filled most wetlands so native plants, wildflowers and animals are very abundant.
We are extending an invitation to interested members of the public to join us for a tour on the property on Saturday the 23rd of October starting at 1.00pm, flyer attached.
RSVP by Thursday 21st October (required for catering) to Jim Blackney North East Regional Manager 0419 842 082 or jimb@tfn.org.au
